Work

My first attempt, like layers of an onion.

Obligatory scissor exercise. I always preferred the more direct metaphor of a clipboard.

A third clipboard based design.
Clyppan
Design, UI
Clyppan lives in the OS X menu bar, and is a simple utility for maintaining a history of all the text you’ve pasted to your clipboard. I use it to temporarily shelve snippets of information or code I need throughout the day. With a keystroke I’m cycling through everything that’s landed in my clipboard over the last week or so, up to 200 items, and I can filter by keyword to dislodge something specific.
Clyppan is one of the first apps I’ll install on a new Mac, and it’s hard for me to imagine maintaining the same level of productivity without it. I donated these replacement menubar icons to the project with the hope that one of them makes it into a future release.
